Ripplerain came out of the clearing and looked around. Well, it's not here... she thought. I should still smell the borders. She started at the nearest edge and smelled the borders for any unusual scents. Ripplerain's mind drifted off. Lostheart and Ripplerain were really close ever since they were mentor and apprentice. She wondered if the relationship was still strong. I hope... she thought.

She was getting nervous. Why would Lostheart send a newbie warrior like her to look for a loner who could hold off the leader of Forestclan and her patrol? She was confused. Ripplerain hasn't participated in a real fight before, just mentored ones. She kept smelling the borders.
